Night Angel: The Complete Trilogy combines Brent Weeks’ popular trilogy into one complete volume. The Way of Shadows, Shadow’s Edge, and Beyond the Shadows are accompanied by a helpful character guide, a glossary and two unreleased bonus chapters. The trilogy follows Azoth (later Kylar) as he trains to become a magical assassin under the tutelage of Durzo Blint. After his apprenticeship, he begins his career as a killer. Over the course of the three books Kylar must choose whether to continue as a trained assassin. He also must consider how to best lead his people and who is to blame for the injustices he has encountered. This book is a great collection of three excellent fantasy stories. The trilogy introduces an engaging cast of characters and tells a tale that will keep readers turning the pages long into the night. The amount of violence in the book does limit the age of its audience. Adults looking for a refreshing collection of fantasy stories should look no further than this great book by Brent Weeks.
