Reimagining Equality: Stories of Gender, Race, and Finding Home is a well written analysis of what home means to women everywhere, particularly African American women. Though Anita Hill’s stories focus on the history of African American women, women everywhere should pick up a copy of this book, as it will change their idea of what home, race, and gender really mean. Hill does an excellent job of sharing stories that all women can relate to, and brought perspective to this reviewer’s view of race and gender, particularly in relation to the home. Hill uses her own family history to show what home can really mean, and takes the reader on a journey that no one else could. Women everywhere should pick up a copy of Reimagining Equality and challenge their own thoughts on race, gender, and the home.
