The Chronicles of Harris Burdick presents famous authors doing exactly what everyone else does with Chris Van Allsburg’s “The Mysteries of Harris Burdick”: telling stories. The original pictures and captions are reproduced in this lovely edition of the book and each picture is followed by an original short story. The authors recruited for this project are largely children’s authors, but they are almost all authors that transcend children’s literature and are also beloved by adults. This book would be a great read-together follow up for children who love the original book or the next step for a slightly older child. Even adults will love the quality and originality of these stories.
