The Spy Who Jumped Off the Screen by Thomas Caplan is a unique tale that is pertinent to the political times in which we live. The main character is Ty Hunter, a former Army Special Forces specialist turned movie star. However, you don’t meet the main character until the fifth chapter. Everything prior to meeting Ty is back-story that, in the end, does not make a difference to the plot. The plot itself does not become completely clear until around the ninth chapter. The pace of the plot does eventually pick up, and one becomes intrigued with the overall mission of the main character, which, in a sense, is to save the world at the request of the president of the United States.

Personally, this reviewer found the prose to be overly detailed in some chapters. Nevertheless, those readers who are fans of military, spy, or detailed prose books will enjoy Caplan’s creation.
