Trouble has come again to the magical kingdom of Marnoch Mor. Morag is adjusting to her new life in the kindgom while dealing with dreadful dreams that are haunting her. Meanwhile, magical items have been disappearing and the Volunteer Police Force, led by Shona the Dragon, is trying to track down the items and the culprit behind the thefts. Things take an even darker turn when Mephista, a witch who wants revenge for the death of her father, kidnaps Montgomery, the leader of the kingdom. Morag and her friends must do whatever they can to save Montgomery and the kingdom.

The Witch’s Revenge is a fairly entertaining novel for older kids. The kingdom that the author, D.A. Nelson, has created is cute and charming (although with a surprisingly high number of prissy residents) that children will enjoy. The story moves along fairly well and has some nice twists along the way. Children who enjoy fantasy books will enjoy this novel.
